'Writing Worlds 2018'

We are delighted to announce the launch of our WRITING WORLDS RETREAT in July 2018.

Narnia, Middle-Earth, Neverland - each is an unforgettable fictional world. 

Scarlett O’hara, Hercule Poirot, Jane Eyre - each a memorable fictional character that lives and breathes on the page. 


Our 5-day intensive novel-writing course will help hone your skills as a writer and set you on the road to publication. 

Classes will be led by world-famous authors and award-winning novelists : Natalie Meg Evans & Rachel Hore (tutor on the prestigious Creative Writing course at The University of East Anglia).

Guest author : Liz Jenkins (author of The 9th Life of Louis Drax - recently brought to screen by Miramax and starring Jamie Dornan, screenplay by Max Minghella). 

Publisher Richard Willis of IMPRESS PUBLISHING and IMPRESS PRIZE for first-time novelists. 

Subject areas covered in the course will include:

• Development of a fictional world
• Characterisation 
• Plot
• Structure of novel
• Preparation of Submissions to agents
• Creation of a “plan of action” for the next 12 months

As an aspiring writer you will be given the opportunity to pitch your work to visiting publisher Richard Willis and to receive individual feedback on your work in progress with suggested edits.

The work schedule is organic and can develop according to the needs of both the class & individual writer.
