***THIS COURSE IS NOW FINISHED***
We are delighted to announce the launch of our WRITING WORLDS RETREAT in May 2017.
Develop your fiction or memoir writing with award-winning novelists Tracey Warr and Natalie Meg Evans, and publisher Richard Willis from Impress Books and the Impress Prize.
This course will help you develop your writing through workshops, exercises, presentations, and time spent focussing on your own manuscripts in progress or initial ideas for writing. We will consider writing with place, plotting and creating worlds for your readers to step into.
Tutors will discuss proposals and submissions to publishers and agents with you, consider the pros and cons of self-publishing, contemplate writing in a digital age, and share tips for developing a writing career. Whether you are just starting out or have a near-finished draft, whichever era you are writing about - past, present, or future - the course will help push your project on in new directions.
Guest speaker, Author and UEA Creative Writing tutor Rachel Hore and publisher Richard Willis from Impress Books and the Impress Prize will also be in attendance.
Alex Hammond from Cornerstones Literary Consultancy will be joining us
to answer the questions every writer should consider before submitting their
work including: how to self-edit your work, how to speak your editor's
language, and how to land on an agent's desk rather than the slush pile.
Details of other guest speakers will be posted on our website in the coming months.
We look forward to meeting you and helping you become a published author.
