Sarah Corbett is a poet and lecturer in creative writing. She has published four books of poetry, most recently And She Was: A verse-novel, with Pavilion Poetry (Liverpool University Press) in 2015, described by Poetry Review as, 'a nocturnal odyssey and mystery story, shot full of visionary moments'. Her three previous collections with Seren Books are: Other Beasts (2008), The Witch Bag (2002) and The Red Wardrobe (1998), which was awarded an Eric Gregory Award for Poetry and was shortlisted for both the T.S Eliot Prize and the Forward Prize for Best First Collection.
Sarah has taught creative writing in higher education since 2004, for The Open University and currently for Lancaster University, and also works freelance as a writing mentor and tutor for organisations such as Arts Council England and The Poetry School. Sarah also runs collaborative projects with other writers and artists, and runs/hosts literary events. Sarah has performed her work nationally and internationally, and her work is widely anthologised. She is currently completing a first novel and a fifth collection of poems, due from Pavilion Poetry in 2018.
