Rachel Hore

Rachel graduated from Oxford University and landed a junior position at Cassells Publishers in Westminster. After three years at Cassells Publishers Rachel then became an assistant editor at Harper Collins Publishers in the Fiction department eventually becoming a senior editorial director and looking after a stable of well-known names.

During Rachel's time at HarperCollins she met and married one of her authors, D.J. Taylor, and in due course they had three sons. In 2001 Rachel gave up her day job and moved from London to Norwich. It was here that Rachel started writing a short story that went on growing and eventually it became The Dream House.

Since then Rachel has had seven novels published, with the eighth, The House on Bellevue Gardens, coming out in paperback on 22 September 2016. Rachel also teaches Publishing and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia and reviews fiction.
